HOLLYWOOD, CA—Despite the fact that the original film came out only eleven years ago, Hollywood has announced that it plans to reboot its latest superhero franchise, Ultra Man, with the new film coming out summer 2018.
"Once we got Ultra Man 3 out there, we felt it was time to close that chapter of the franchise, and start fresh with a reboot," said Lawrence Reinblatt, one of the film's producers. "This new movie will re-tell the saga of Ultra Man's origins, similar to what happened in the original."
Despite criticisms that Hollywood just seems to be making the same movies over and over again, the executive insisted that this reboot was warranted.
"The Ultra Man story deserves to be told again for a new generation," he explains. "We really felt we owed it to the public to get a fresh take on the story out there."
However, the producer did admit that some concessions are being made.
"Let's face it. The original Ultra Man was a classic, and we spent a lot of hours struggling with how we could match the quality of that film. Luckily, we came up with a great plan. We've decided to go with all the same actors as the original movie. And locations. And music. And special effects. And script."
When asked if the public would be interested in a reboot of this kind, Reinblatt remained confident.

"Everyone loves a good reboot, and Ultra Man will be no exception. The public will be thrilled to know that this new Ultra Man will really be able to hold up to the original in every way. It's the story we all know and love – just with notably aged actors, and no new plot twists or character developments. It's going to be huge."
