Nor should you. Just throw it out. That's the lesson taught by Bill Pats's new one man show about Dave, an aggressively aggressive young man who gets banned from retail outlets almost as often as he goes to them.

Dave's anger issues and inability to just leave it alone converge with the aforementioned shrimp to take him on a bizarre, funny and cleverly plotted journey that's sometimes insightful, and sometimes just morbidly profane. Despite my admiration for Pats's plotting, however, the refrain of "what was I supposed to do?" and "what difference does it make?" as defenses for Dave's incorrigible behaviour wear thin quickly.

We don't learn enough about what turned Dave into this seething ball of indignation to care what happens to him later. And Pats's performance, though often sharply funny, is also so amped up that it starts to wrinkle your nose like, well… you know.
