Eglinton Avenue East has reopened after being closed in both directions east of DVP

A 33-year-old woman is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by an SUV on Eglinton Avenue East, just east of the Don Valley Parkway, late Thursday night.
The incident occurred at Eglinton and Swift Drive shortly after 11 p.m., according to Toronto police. The woman was struck by a Subaru Forester travelling west along Eglinton while she was trying to cross the road at Swift Drive.
She was rushed to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
Eglinton was closed in both directions at Bermondsey Road through the night, but reopened shortly before 5:30 a.m. Friday.
