'You can really taste it and there's chunks and claws sticking out of it'
If you like your lobster served cold, you might really like this new dish.
Lobster ice cream is now on the menu at a restaurant in Summerside.
"It's delicious, it's interesting," said Open Eats owner Alex Clark. "You really know there's lobster in it, you can really taste it and there's chunks and claws sticking out of it."
The sweet but savoury dish is part of the Go Lobster! contest in the city, where 21 restaurants in the area are offering up their spin on different lobster dishes.
The only dessert
There are a number of appetizers and mains, but the lobster ice cream is the only dessert.
Clark said their original dish was similar to what was being served at another restaurant, so they went in a different direction.
"We asked the organizer if he had desserts, and he said no one did, so we decided to do it," he said.
You'll have until the end of July to try it. Just don't dip it in butter!
