Man arrested in Kensington hit and run involving stolen vehicle

Victim able to get licence plate, description of male driver
Kensington police have arrested a man in connection with a hit and run Tuesday involving a stolen vehicle.
Police say a man driving a red Kia struck another vehicle on Victoria Street near the Bell's Irving shortly after 5 p.m. and then left the area.
According to a news release from Kensington Police Service the victim of the hit and run was able to give police the licence plate number and a description of the male driver.
When the plate was checked, police discovered the Kia was stolen from the parking lot at Mike's Independent Grocer just minutes prior to the accident.
