A Charlottetown man is asking for the public's help in locating his rare, custom-made bamboo bike.
Terrence Taylor was working overnight at a business on the corner of Queen and Water streets. When he came out early this morning, he said the $1,600 bike was gone.
"This community is small, so you know it's just a matter of time before either somebody sees it riding around or somebody catches, you know, catches an idea of where it's at," said Taylor.
The bike has a very distinctive look — it's made of natural bamboo and features a bright blue chain, wheels and handle bars.
"So there's some dumb idiot riding around on a one-of-a-kind bamboo Danso bike," he said in a video posted to his Facebook page this morning, holding up a wire lock that appeared to have been snipped.

'Can't sell it'

"You can't sell it, you dummy!" Taylor chided.
Taylor has turned to social media in the hopes of finding any information about where the bike may have gone.
"The fact that people are sharing it on social media, like that I didn't expect," he said.
Taylor believes the bike went missing sometime between 2:30 and 5 a.m. He has reported the incident to police.
"I just cross my fingers and hope for the best," he told CBC News Tuesday.
