Man charged after North York hit-and-run, police search for vehicle involved

A man has been charged after a hit and run in North York left a 21-year-old male pedestrian with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.
Police say the driver was heading westbound on Finch Avenue West, near Sentinel Road. The driver struck a pedestrian, who was crossing Finch, around 2:44 a.m. The driver left the scene.
A 36-year-old man faces a charge of failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm.
Police say that while they have charged a man in connection to the hit and run, they have not recovered the vehicle involved.
They describe the vehicle as a black, four-door 2010 Honda Civic with the Ontario licence plate of BVYM93. Police said the vehicle will have damage to the front end and driver side, and the driver's side-view mirror will be missing.
