Frances Evans was pleased to hear about the bypass.
"It'll be so much better for all the seniors that live here and families with young children, and for people that just want to walk around in the community. It'll be great."

Katrina Shea

Katrina Shea's house is close to where the proposed will go, and that's a concern for her.
"I'm a little bit concerned about us, being right off the highway, and the noise of the highway, and the busy-ness."

Harry Smith

Harry Smith believes highway bypasses are never good news for towns.
"I've seen a lot of towns that were bypassed by highways and inevitably it's the beginning of the end for commercial business … I would expect very little of this stuff to survive without traffic coming by as it does now."

Pierre Filion

Pierre Filion believes businesses could be hurt, but he sees the bypass as an opportunity.
"What I think Cornwall needs to do is to move a little bit outside of town and build a bigger shopping area. And that way we can accommodate all the people that are around the area."

Kim Lawrence

Kim Lawrence thinks the bypass will make the community safer for children.
"It will be good for the community. It will be safer … My child did get hit by a car on the Trans-Canada, so I am for having the traffic bypasses."
