Power was out for close to five hours
Maritime Electric has restored power to about 2,200 customers in eastern P.E.I., after wildlife caused a problem at the substation in Dingwells Mills.
The power went out at about 6 a.m. and was restored a little after 10:30 a.m.
A Maritime Electric spokesperson said the problem was at the Dingwells Mills substation. A repair crew determined wildlife was the cause.
The outage covered much of the northeast: from Cardigan North up to Souris, and across to St. Margarets and down to Morell.
