RCMP say driver's blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit
A 26-year-old New Brunswick man faces impaired driving charges after a vehicle crashed into a building on P.E.I.'s Lennox Island.
The incident happened Friday just before 4 p.m.
Witnesses say the vehicle went out of control going around a corner and continued until it ran into the building. No one was inside the building at the time.
RCMP said the driver's blood alcohol level was twice at the legal limit.
The driver had only minor injuries, said RCMP, a scratch on his face and a sore shoulder.
The male driver was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in late August.
