Lucy the Duck's new family escorted back to P.E.I. marsh

Police happy to assist mother, ducklings, across University Avenue every year
Traffic came to a halt at one of Charlottetown's busiest intersections on Saturday as the city's most famous feathered friend returned home for another year.
Lucy the Duck, known for nesting in the garden centre at the Charlottetown Superstore, made her annual trek back to the marsh — this time along with her seven new ducklings.
Charlottetown Police made sure the family was able to waddle across the road safely.
"We needed to assist with traffic as her and her ducklings crossed University Avenue, probably one of the busiest intersections in Charlottetown by the Burger King and then on to the marsh in the back of University Avenue," said Cpl. Sean Coombs.
Coombs said helping Lucy cross the road has become an annual event for the Charlottetown police.
"We don't mind assisting at all, you know, get her and her ducklings across safely and it all worked out," he said.
Lucy also put on quite the show a year ago, as shown in the video in the left column.
