Oshawa Uber driver charged with sexually assaulting teenage boy

Police say the victim is under 16-years-old, suspect turned himself in on Tuesday

A 29-year-old Uber driver has been charged with sexually assaulting a teenage boy in Oshawa last month, police say.
Durham Regional Police say the assault happened in the early morning hours of May 29, when the Uber driver picked up the male victim from an address on Lakeview Park Avenue.
After having a conversation with the boy, police allege that the man reached over and touched the victim's genitals and then stopped the car and sexually assaulted the boy.
Investigators say the victim is under 16-years-old and contacted police later the same day.
On Tuesday, the Oshawa man turned himself in to detectives.
Police have since charged the man with sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.
