CBC Arts and CBC Short Docs are holding an incubator to develop emerging video makers
It's a chance to produce the short video you've always dreamed of creating and potentially have it broadcast on CBC.
CBC Arts and CBC Short Docs, through the network's Inclusion and Diversity initiative, are offering an opportunity for up to 12 video creators to come to Toronto and train with some of the best in Canadian arts and documentary programming.
The development workshop takes place at the Broadcast Centre, 250 Front St. W. Toronto, Sept. 14-17, 2016. The four full-day sessions will help emerging creators who identify as part of an Indigenous, disability or visible minority community to sharpen their professional skills, expand their networks, and learn to develop ideas with the CBC — specifically producing short-form, unscripted, digital videos.
This is the third in the training series. Recently, the CBC Development Workshop for Diverse Creators Volume 2 focused on scripted content and resulted in two development deals.
The application is due on July 11, 2016 and more details can be found here.
