To much anticipation, Apple recently unveiled their newest product – the Apple Watch. With models ranging in price from $450 to $15,000, many have criticized the product as being unnecessary and expensive. However, the Apple Watch does have some features that might warrant all of the hype. Here are a few you may not have heard of...
1. Drunk texting prevention by electric shock
By monitoring your blood alcohol levels through your wrist, the Apple Watch will give you a small electric shock anytime you attempt to send a text after 1am when you're legally drunk. The severity of the charge will increase incrementally if the text is directed toward an ex, your boss, or your mom.
2. Colloquial language blocking noise machine
Are you over 25? Have you sincerely attempted to work the expression 'on fleek' into a conversation? How about 'turnt', 'throwing shade' or 'bae'? By analyzing your birth date and vocal recognition patterns, the Apple Watch will play a loud, blaring air horn noise over your attempts to use any kind of language that you're far too old to be using, thus saving you untold levels of humiliation.
3. Handy e-list of useful things you could have spent that money on
If you own an Apple Watch, then you just spent anywhere from $450 to $15,000 on what is essentially your iPod Touch attached to a wrist band. Ever wonder what other things that money could have been used for? A month's rent? A Carribean vacation? A condo downpayment? Fortunately, this feature will regularly inform you of which items you passed up in favour of a digital watch.
4. Gas detecting iFan
Few things are more humiliating than others noticing that you've passed gas. Fortunately, the Apple Watch will immediately detect your 'scent' and use a tiny, concealed fan to blow the offensive smell to a different part of the room, thus allowing you to place the blame on someone else. The iFan is expected to be used frequently in elevators, airplanes and on dates.
5. Death countdown
We all have things we'd like to accomplish before we pass on. But wouldn't it be handy to know exactly how much time we have to accomplish them? Well, fortunately, the Apple Watch will estimate how much time you have left and display it to you as a constant reminder of your impending death. (This one is not a joke!)
