P.E.I. will see some sunshine Tuesday, but will begin to feel the effects of tropical storm Colin overnight as it passes to the south of the Maritimes.
Colin is expected to be downgraded to a post-tropical storm.
Colin will join forces with a low pressure system to the east of James Bay to bring periods of rain overnight, says CBC meteorologist Peter Coade. Two to five millimetres is expected.
That rain will continue into Wednesday, another 10 millimetres, with showers lingering into Thursday.
Thursday will also see some unseasonably cool temperatures, peaking at 10 C. The normal high for this time of year is 19 C.
