Police, 5 ambulances, EMS district supervisor responded just after 7 p.m.
Four men have been rushed to hospital, two in critical condition, after a serious car crash in northeast Calgary Saturday evening.
Paramedics say a middle-aged man and a man in his 20s were taken to Foothills hospital in life-threatening condition with internal injuries.
Two more victims, both believed to be in their 20s, were transported to Rockyview General Hospital in stable, non-life-threatening condition.
A fifth adult male was treated and released on scene, EMS said.
Rod Dreger says he pulled up on the collision right after it happened.
"I saw the engine on the road," he said.
"I made eye contact with the driver. He looked lifeless, he was crunched right in there."
He said one man had been ejected from his car.
"There was another gentleman on the ground, laying there with a hole in his head, just barely breathing, gasping for air. It was a very horrifying night," Dreger said.
"I asked the cop if everyone was going to be OK and he said, I don't think so."
Police, five ambulances and an EMS district supervisor responded to the intersection of 52nd Street and Temple Drive N.E. just after 7 p.m.
Traffic was rerouted for hours while investigators tried to determine the cause.
