Girl’s father hit her pulling out of driveway Thursday
A critically injured Calgary girl has inspired many to contribute to a crowdfunding campaign for the family.
The seven-year-old was struck by her father as he pulled out of the driveway of their home on Tuscany Glen Park N.W. on Thursday.
The girl had serious head trauma and was rushed to Alberta Children's Hospital where she remains in critical condition.
A GoFundMe fundraising campaign, called prayers4tuscany, had raised more than $55,000 by Sunday evening.
That money was raised in just two days.
"We are concerned neighbours of the Tuscany family that has had the most horrendous parent's nightmare happen; to have your child critically injured by a vehicle on your own driveway," the campaign creator wrote on the page.
"We hope by raising enough funds for this family we can enable them to focus solely on getting their family through this crisis."
