It was a happy accident that Exhibitionists has featured a number of stories out of Moose Jaw, Sask. this past year.
Freelance filmmaker Jeremy Ratzlaff(external link) worked with CBC's Stephanie Matteis(external link) to produce a number of stories that have introduced Moose Jaw as a character in the narrative of arts in this country.
From the large-format photographer Stefan Litster to painter Ken Dalgarno to former poet laureate Robert Currie, these short videos have brought us into the heart of the Prairies, just as this latest clip about fashion designer and photography Morgan Kolish does.
Kolish — fashion business grad — says it was tough to break into fashion design so she picked up some work managing local Moose Jaw band Johnny 2 Fingers & the Deformities. When bandleader John Dale needed promotional photos, he asked Kolish. Since then she's been chasing her dreams and in this video she combines her two passions: fashion design and photography. It's shot on the sand dunes of Saskatchewan but could just as easily double for a scene from Lawrence of Arabia or Mad Max.
Watch Exhibitionists(external link) Sundays at 4:30pm (5 NT) on CBC.
