$10K to $15K in damage caused to house
A nice weather forecast and the Victoria Day weekend will have many people enjoying a meal cooked on the barbecue.
But fire officials in Kensington, P.E.I. are warning people to not put their barbecue too close to their house.
A Kensington homeowner found that out the hard way Wednesday after a barbecue placed too close to the house set the vinyl siding on fire.
Firefighters doused the fire quickly but it caused $10,000 to $15,000 worth of damage.
The family was able to remain in their home.
