23-year-old man faces charges after report of knife threat

Accused faces charges of assault with a weapon and uttering threats

A 23-year-old man is facing charges after Charlottetown police responded to a report of a knife threat on Wednesday afternoon.
Police allege the man was threatening a woman during an altercation on Allen Street. The two knew each other, police said, and had been having an argument.
No one was injured.
The man was arrested and spent the night in jail.
He is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on Thursday to face two charges: assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
