Nunavut inmates watch Tony: Back from the Brink, share advice with high school students

After watching the film, Tony: Back from the Brink, CBC reporters Pauline Pemik and Elyse Skura spoke with three inmates and a parolee in Iqaluit to hear what advice they would give to their younger selves.

Their thoughts were shared with high school students at a special screening of the film in Iqaluit May 12.

The CBC has agreed not to identify the inmates or the parolee.

In the first excerpt, two people share life advice, and talk about how Tony Kalluk, the star of the film, has inspired them.

A fourth man spoke in Inuktitut about how jail has separated him from his family, and how he feels guilty about not being around for his kids.
