Fire destroys house, barn in Rose Valley area

No animals were in the barn when it caught fire

A fire has destroyed a house and barn on Inkerman Road, off Route 225, in the Rose Valley area.
RCMP Cpl. Scott Stevenson said the fire started in the barn and spread to the house, then into the grass and forest.

Firefighters were able to put out the blaze to prevent it from spreading into the woods.

It's not clear what caused the fire.
East Prince RCMP and the Office of the Fire Marshal are investigating.
