Gavin Sean Griffiths, 29, of Ottawa is a high risk to reoffend, police say
A convicted sex offender dubbed "the pants puller" is now living in the Halifax Regional Municipality, police said Thursday.
Gavin Sean Griffiths, 29, of Ottawa is a high risk to reoffend, Halifax Regional Police Const. Dianne Woodworth said in a statement. He has assaulted women with whom he did not have relationships, she said.
The repeat offender has served time for multiple sexual assaults and other crimes dating back to 2005.
In 2014, he was charged with three counts of sexual assault for incidents along Rideau River paths in Ottawa.
That was while he was on probation after a 2012 spree of pulling down women's pants, for which he pleaded guilty to nine counts of sexual assault.
Griffiths indicated earlier in May he would be moving to Nova Scotia, possibly to live in Antigonish.
He will be on probation for two years, during which he must undergo counselling and refrain from contacting certain people and possessing weapons.
