CBC cameraman in hospital after serious crash near Lac La Biche

A videographer with CBC/Radio-Canada has been airlifted to Edmonton after a serious, single-vehicle collision near Lac La Biche, Alta.
RCMP responded to the crash scene on Highway 55 near Range Road 155 around 5:25 a.m. MT Thursday.
The driver was alone in the CBC vehicle at the time of the crash. He was taken by STARS air ambulance to a hospital in Edmonton. RCMP say he is in critical condition.
CBC/Radio-Canada is in touch with the videographer's family members, who are en route to the hospital.
"We are aware of an incident in which a CBC/Radio-Canada employee was injured in a single-vehicle crash this morning near Lac La Biche, Alberta," Emma Bédard of CBC's public affairs department said in a statement on Thursday.
"We don't have any more details to share at this point. Our thoughts are with our employee and his family."
