St. John's journalist Wendy Rose first heard about Pepa Chan when city officials threw out the artist's installation that had been publicly funded.
This started an odd arts investigation for Rose, which led her to meet the Argentine-born and ask the question, "What happens when art is mistaken for trash?"
Consider the question for yourself in this video, directed by Ben Smith and produced for CBC Arts by Stephanie Matteis(external link).
Chan will be part of the 17th annual Hold Fast Festival at Eastern Edge Gallery(external link) in August 2016.
