'Charlie' was the top pick for dog names in 2015
Cat owners in the city might want to get a little more creative this year.
"No Name" was the most popular cat name in Toronto for the year of 2015, according to the City of Toronto.

The city says 833 cat owners registered their feline friends with the name — or lack thereof.
Among those pets who were lucky enough to receive a real name, "Charlie" and "Max" won out as the top picks for both cats and dogs in the city's annual "Top Licensed Pet names list."
"Charlie" was the choice of 174 cat owners, while 157 went with "Max."
For dogs, a whopping 678 people in the city named their furry friends "Charlie." Another 560 opted for "Max."
City bylaws require all pet owners to license their dogs and cats, although not all pet owners comply, so it's hard to say just how many "No Names" there really are out there.
The figures from the city do show some interesting trends, including pet owners' tendency to give their animals human names, including "Molly," "Henry," "Simon" and "Sabrina," to name a few.
A handful of Torontonians also came up with some original names, snagging the only license with their chosen pet names for that year.
For cats, names like "Shadow Cat," "Scuttle Butt" and "Wilee Coyote" were only registered once in 2015.
For dogs, names like "Ask Her," "Fatty" and "Booger" were only picked once — and pet owners should probably keep it that way.
