Routine traffic stop near Cochrane nets 3 drug-related arrests

'Illicit drugs could be seen in plain view inside the vehicle's interior,' RCMP say
Three people were arrested for multiple drug-related offences after a routine traffic stop near Cochrane.
RCMP spotted the vehicle early Sunday morning with a burnt-out tail light on Highway 1A east of the town.

Police say there was an overwhelming odour of marijuana.
"Illicit drugs could be seen in plain view inside the vehicle's interior," RCMP said in a release.
A search turned up marijuana, crack cocaine, suspected methamphetamine, MDMA, a firearm and a large amount of cash.
A woman from Cochrane and two men from Calgary, all in their 20s, face multiple charges.
They will appear in provincial court in Cochrane on May 3.
