Poplar Grove industrial accident claims life of P.E.I. man

RCMP say a 46-year-old man from western P.E.I. who worked in the shellfish industry died in a Friday morning industrial accident related to his work.
At about 10:30 a.m., East Prince RCMP were dispatched to Poplar Grove, P.E.I., where a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Because of the complexity of the case, we're not releasing many details at this point," said RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Scott Stevenson.
The incident is being investigated by East Prince RCMP, the coroner's office and occupational health and safety officials.
Stevenson said the investigations will be "separate, but collaborative."
More details will be released as the investigation unfolds.
Stevenson said an autopsy will likely take place this weekend.
