CBC News has learned that Peter Moosebridge has left his big city life in Zootopia and relocated to southern Alberta.
The cartoon anchor with antlers, inspired by CBC's own chief correspondent Peter Mansbridge, was last spotted on the front porch of a rural house, peering through the window into the TV room.
The homeowner, Pierre Bolduc, said Moosebridge appeared to be watching(external link) the evening news on CBC TV.

"It was fantastic to observe the moose as the news reported the water safety concern in the U.S.A. with the lead poisoning," joked Bolduc.
Between December and March, Bolduc said he captured the moose on video several times, mostly during the CBC Calgary News at 6.
The animal did drop by once for The National.
"However it was Wendy Mesley who hosted, not Peter Mansbridge."
Though the moose is female, Bolduc still calls her Peter Moosebridge.
Over the winter, Bolduc said she visited him "just about every night," but admits she probably wasn't there to catch up on current affairs.
"Seriously speaking, it's because I put out a bale of hay in order to attract her."

Bolduc said he was a "big moose hunter" until he retired in Bragg Creek, a hamlet located about 30 kilometres west of Calgary.
"I now have completely gone into trying to preserve wildlife."
That includes reintroducing beavers to the pond on his acreage and building nests for predatory birds in his community.
