Hybrid electric Chrysler Pacifica on display in Windsor

'I'm wowed, it's beautiful and amazing'

Windsor residents got a chance to see the all-new Chrysler Pacifica minivan at Malden Park this weekend.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles showed off its hybrid electric plug-in version of the built-in Windsor minivan for the first time outside of an auto show.

"I'm wowed. It's amazing, it's beautiful," said Cindy LaBrecque, a foster mom who said the Pacifica would be perfect for her lifestyle. "It's just a gorgeous looking vehicle."
The new minivan is set to replace the Chrysler Town and County and the Dodge Grand Caravan — though company officials say the Grand Caravan will continue to be built as long as people want to buy it.

Chrysler workers past and present were at Sunday's event, including some Chrysler employees who worked on the first minivan 33 years ago.

The base price of the Pacifica is expected to be $45,000. It is expected to be in Canadian showrooms sometime this spring.
