Taxi Diamond is choosing the green route and slowly converting its entire fleet of cabs to hybrid or electric cars.
The company already has 110 hybrid cabs on the streets of downtown Montreal but plans to start replacing all of its cars starting next year.
By 2020, Taxi Diamond's 1,110 vehicles will be hybrid or electric models.
It won't be the first of its kind in the city. Téo Taxi, Montreal's first fully electric taxi service, launched last November.
