We've said it a couple of times already this month, but Monday really did feel like summer.
Dozens of daily high temperatures records were shattered across southern B.C. including:
  • Vancouver 25.3 C (previous record set in 1962).
  • Victoria University 24.1 C (previous record set in 1934).
  • Squamish 28.1 C (previous record set in 1994).
  • Abbotsford 29.0 C (previous record set in 1983).
  • Lytton 30.6 C (previous record set in 1934).
The same ridge of high pressure will stick around through to Wednesday for the South Coast, bringing fairly blue skies and more record-breaking heat.
Tuesday and Wednesday may be a touch cooler than Monday though.
Looks like the ridge finally breaks down on Thursday for a drop in temperatures by a few degrees and the return of a few showers.
