RCMP said the driver nearly hit the two vehicles when it passed between them before using the shoulder to pass another member of a group of BMW enthusiasts who were driving together on the highway, then speeding away.
"Other witnesses that saw the driving actually located the driver and confronted him," Cpl. Kevin Halwa with the Sylvan RCMP told CBC News at the time, adding that the driver would likely be charged.
Mounties announced Friday that he had, indeed, been charged.
Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle is a criminal offence.
