Tickets for concert go on sale April 15th
It will be an all Canadian lineup in Cavendish, P.E.I., for a Canada Day concert on Saturday, July 2.
Alan Doyle and The Beautiful Gypsies, Matt Andersen and The Bona Fide and The Strumbellas will play at the Cavendish Beach Events Centre.
"It's going to be a great weekend, starting on Friday, July 1st with Canada Day celebrations in North Rustico then transitioning on July 2nd to the Cavendish Beach Events Centre with some of our favourite Canadian talent," said Jeff Squires, president of Whitecap Entertainment.
"The North Shore is the place to be to kick off summer."
Doyle, former lead singer of Great Big Sea, is now touring with his new band The Beautiful Gypsies.
Matt Anderson is a 2013 Euro Blues Award for Best Solo /Acoustic Act, three Maple Blues Awards in 2012, and nabbed him 2010 International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
The Strumbellas have won the Canadian Folk Music Award for Contemporary Album Of The Year and CBC Music's Rising Star award.
Tickets for the concert go on sale April 15 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at www.whitecapentertainment.com or at the PEI Brewing Company.
