A Washington D.C. man broke into a Five Guys fast food location and didn't steal much. He cooked a few cheeseburgers, nabbed a bottle of water, and then left.
On March 18, a man with a hat sneaked into the restaurant by keeping an eye on a delivery man, according to a press release from the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department.(external link)
When the delivery man went home for the night sometime before 3:10 a.m. ET, he slipped inside and began looking for ingredients for a very late dinner.

In the surveillance footage provided by police, he didn't appear too concerned during the ordeal. He grabbed a fountain drink, threw a few burger patties on the grill and then started cooking.
He called someone on his phone at around 4:30 a.m. ET before heading off with his burgers and a bottle of water.
This isn't the only case of hamburglary in recent weeks. On March 29, a Burger King delivery truck driver in Warren, Mich., woke up after taking a nap to find that someone had stolen 33 cases of Whopper patties from the back.
Jim Fouts, Warren's mayor, told the Detroit Free Press(external link) it was "whopper of a theft."
In both cases, it's likely the thieves have eaten most of the evidence.
