Damage pegged at $2M in multi-home fire in Lethbridge

No one was seriously hurt in the blaze, according to the fire department
The Lethbridge fire department says the estimate from a fire Wednesday evening that extensively damaged several homes is $2 million.
They say when crews arrived in the community of SunRidge at 6:46 p.m., two houses were fully involved and the fire, fanned by high winds and the heat, quickly spread to a third home.

The department says all the residents of the homes have been accounted for.
Three people were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and one was also treated for burns, but no one was seriously injured.
The fire department says two homes were damaged extensively and other nearby homes sustained heat and smoke damage.
Crews remained on the scene until early Thursday morning.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
The department expects to hold a news conference later Thursday to provide more information.
