No serious injuries reported in 5-vehicle crash on Portage Avenue

Emergency crews begin to clear the scene at Portage Avenue and Woodlands Crescent
Emergency crews are beginning to clear the scene of a five-vehicle crash at Portage Avenue and Woodlands Crescent, along the 3000 block of Portage Avenue.
Winnipeg police say a number of people suffered minor injuries but no serious or critical injuries were reported. A total of 14 people were involved in the crash.
Eastbound lanes on Portage Avenue remain closed as of 10:45 p.m. in the area while police investigate. Westbound lanes along Portage Avenue are now open.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:05 p.m.
Multiple emergency vehicles, including a Major Incident Response Vehicle (MIRV) and ambulances, responded to the collision. The MIRV has now left the scene.
Police do not yet know what caused the multi-vehicle crash.
