This week a woman broke up with Vancouver.(external link)
Jennifer Fox, a social media co-ordinator with the group Generation Squeeze(external link), is moving to Halifax.
But before leaving, she wrote a "Dear John" letter to the city, citing the rapidly rising price of housing, the high cost of living, and the cold, isolated social scene. Her break-up with Vancouver spread through social media, similar to other tales of Vancouver woe, such as I Love Vancouver But it Doesn't Love Me(external link) and I'm Living the Vancouver Dream By Moving Away.(external link)
After Jennifer's letter spread around, a group of local bloggers started their own campaign called Vancouver I Stay, urging people to give Vancouver a second chance, and stay in the city.
