Of all the international museums tweeting (and Vining and Periscoping) about their collections for Museum Week(external link), about 150 are right here in Canada, from The Rooms(external link) in St. John's to Victoria's Royal British Columbia Museum(external link).
Now in its third year, the annual campaign can be a dream for the Margot and Richie Tenenbaums of the world(external link), offering behind-the-scenes stories about the world's cultural institutions — info you might not remember from all those elementary-school field trips. And until Sunday, April 3, they'll keep the virtual tour going, sharing info according to daily, hashtaggable topics, such as #secretsMW (Monday's theme) or today's talking point, #architectureMW.
CBC Arts took a look at what Canadian museums have been sharing so far and built a quiz. Test your knowledge of what treasures — and secrets — the country holds.
