A 22-year-old man shot dead in front of his northeast Calgary home may have been killed as part of a revenge attack, Calgary police say.
Emmanuel Keror was gunned down in the 4600 block of Maryvale Drive N.E. at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Police have taken two men in their 20s into custody, but their names have not been released pending charges.
The brazen attack may be linked to the 2012 homicide of Philip Anny, according to Insp. Don Coleman.
Deng Lino Keror was convicted of second-degree murder after Anny was shot during a drug deal in 2012.
Tuesday's victim, Emmanuel Keror, is the brother of Deng Lino Keror, a source confirms to CBC News.

The suspects and victim were known to each other — and to police — in connection with alleged violence, property and drug-related incidents, Coleman said.
Two residences in Bowness, as well as homes in Ogden and Applewood are all part of the investigation, he added.

Supper hour shooting

Police were called to Marlborough around supper time Tuesday after shots were fired in front of a home.
Sabah Matti, a neighbour, said he heard three shots ring out on Tuesday evening.
"I don't know nothing, I heard the shots, that's it," he said, adding it's not the first time he has seen something like this in his seven years living in the area.

He said a half-hour before the shooting he was walking right by the house.
Police are still trying to determine the exact motive, but say a revenge shooting is "one possibility".
Keror's killing is Calgary's third homicide in 2016.
