Calgary police say that a shooting in Marlborough that left one person dead does not appear to be random.
The call came in around 6:30 p.m. for the incident on Maryvale Drive N.E.
The homicide unit was called in and an autopsy has been scheduled for today.
Sabah Matti, a neighbour, said he heard three shots ring out.
"I don't know nothing, I heard the shots, that's it," he said, adding it's not the first time he has seen something like this in his seven years living in the area.
He said a half-hour before the shooting he was walking right by the house.
Police are talking to witnesses and looking for a suspect who fled the scene.
