Early on the morning of March 16, Dawson Wegner Cramer, 23, tried to stop two people from taking his Ford F650 commercial truck.
Police found him seriously injured in an alley behind Nordegg Crescent in Red Deer and rushed him to hospital, where he died.
Investigators believe Alexander Michael Talbot, 24, drove the truck into Cramer. An autopsy revealed Cramer died of blunt-force trauma.
On Friday RCMP charged Talbot, of no fixed address in Red Deer, with manslaughter and the theft of the truck.
Talbot, who also goes by the alias of Ace, is short and thin with brown, spiky hair and a goatee.
Police say Talbot is considered dangerous and that members of the public should call police and not approach him.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 403-343-5575 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
Amanda Jo-Lynn Larsen, 27, off no fixed address in Red Deer, was arrested on Thursday and charged with possession of stolen property in connection with the theft of Cramer's vehicle.
She is scheduled to appear in Red Deer provincial court on March 29.
