Pedestrian injured after hit and run on Route 2

Passerby found injured pedestrian, took them to hospital

Police are asking for the public's assistance after a 37-year-old pedestrian was struck and left injured on the side of the road.
Prince District RCMP said the incident occurred on March 21 between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.
The pedestrian was walking west along Route 2 between Hunter River, P.E.I., and Fredericton, P.E.I., when he was struck.
A passerby found the pedestrian and took him to the hospital with minor injuries. The man has since been released.
Police said the man was unable to provide a description of the vehicle.
RCMP say it's possible the driver might not have realized they hit someone considering the weather conditions that day.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Prince District RCMP at 902-853-9300 or Crime Stoppers.
