The Tim Bosma trial continues after jurors read texts Monday sent from Dellen Millard, who has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder.
The jury heard that days after Bosma disappeared, Millard was texting one of his employees about the missing man and his truck — which was seen in the MillardAir hangar. Those texts were written after Bosma, from Hamilton, failed to return after taking two men on a test drive of a pickup truck he was trying to sell.
Bosma left his home around 9 p.m. on May 6, 2013, and was never seen alive again. The Crown alleges he was shot inside his truck and then his body was incinerated.
Millard, 30, of Toronto, and Mark Smich, 28, of Oakville, Ont., are accused of killing Bosma, 32, who lived in the suburban Ancaster area of Hamilton. Both men have pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in Ontario Superior Court.
