Cranston pedestrian crash leaves boy with life-threatening injuries

8-year-old boy sent to hospital
An eight-year-old boy has been struck by a vehicle in a southeast Calgary community and sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Calgary police responded to a call just after 5 p.m. Thursday to the intersection of Cranford Drive and Cranston Gate S.E.
The child was taken to Alberta Children's Hospital.
The driver remained on scene while police conduct their investigation, which closed the intersection for several hours.
