A dog that was stolen four months ago, is on her way home after Airdrie RCMP executed a search warrant Saturday, police said in a release.
Lucy, a five-year-old female dog, is currently in the care of Rocky View peace officers but will be on her way home soon.
A man from the municipal district of Rocky View, southwest of Airdrie, is facing charges of theft and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
"We are happy to know Lucy will be home safe with her rightful owners very soon," said Const. Matt Gervais.
"This is the second time in less than a year that we have recovered a stolen dog and reunited them with their rightful owners."
The suspect is scheduled to appear in Airdrie court May 26.
