Ottawa adds 3rd-round draft pick, minor league forward
It was a mostly stand-pat NHL trade deadline day for the Ottawa Senators, who made a pair of minor deals on Monday.
The team sent forward Shane Prince and a 2016 seventh-round draft pick to the New York Islanders for a third-round pick in this summer's entry draft.
Prince, 23, has three goals and 13 points in 44 career NHL games.
Earlier in the day, the Senators sent defenceman Conor Allen to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for forward Michael Keranen.
Allen had arrived to the Senators organization in a deal with the Nashville Predators in January, and had been assigned to Ottawa's AHL affiliate in Binghamton.
Keranen only has one career NHL game under his belt and was with the Wild's AHL affiliate in Iowa.
