Fire chief says it's first time he's seen a grass fire in February
It's a strange time of year for it to happen, but firefighters in St. Eleanors, P.E.I. had to put out a grass fire Sunday.
Fire Chief Jim Blacquiere said it was the first time in his 30 years as a firefighter that he's seen a grass fire in February.
The fire was quite small and it took firefighters 10 minutes to extinguish.
The crew just used a few brooms and shovels to put it out.
