1 killed in pickup-semi crash near Balgonie, Sask.

One person has died following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 10 north of Balgonie, Sask.
The crash, involving a semi-tractor unit and a pickup truck, occurred around 11 p.m. CST Wednesday.
The man driving the pickup was 45, and died at the scene. RCMP said.
An adult male passenger in the pickup was taken to hospital by STARS helicopter in serious but stable condition.
The man driving the semi was treated at the scene and released.
Police said the semi was hauling fertilizer and some of it spilled into the ditch. It's being cleaned up, police said.
A highways ministry webcam showed a police vehicle still on the highway at around 7:30 a.m. this morning.
Traffic was detoured onto grid roads in the pre-dawn hours.
The road was cleared shortly after 9 a.m.
