Winnipeg Blue Bombers host Montreal Alouettes to open 2016 CFL season

Season opener will be June 24 at Investors Group Field
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will kick off the 2016 CFL regular season on home turf, hosting the Montreal Alouettes.
The team released its 2016 schedule on Thursday. The full schedule, including pre-season games, can be seen here.
The season opener against the Alouettes will be on June 24 at 7:30 p.m. CT at Investors Group Field.
It will be the fans' first chance to see a revamped roster that includes new additions such as receivers Weston Dressler and Ryan Smith, kicker Justin Medlock, D-lineman Keith Shologan and running back Andrew Harris.

The team will then head out for two games on the road before returning for a mid-July matchup with the Grey Cup Champion Edmonton Eskimos.
In all, the Bombers will have one regular season home game on a Wednesday, two on Thursdays, three Friday games, and four Saturday games.
The popular Banjo Bowl game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders will be one of those Saturday tilts, taking place Sept. 10 at 3 p.m.
Fan Appreciation Day will be on Sunday, Sept. 11. More details about the event will be released in the upcoming months, the team said.
The Bombers also announced the release of running back Paris Cotton and defensive end Greg Peach.
